Plans for Expo 2020 Dubai have been strengthened further following the signing of a new agreement with Informa.
The new deal will see some of the biggest business and entertainment events in the region coming to Dubai Exhibition Centre, which is partly situated at the expo.
A number of events that Informa has organised will be hosted by Dubai Exhibition Centre during Expo 2020.
This includes the 20th Cityscape Global next November, which is the world’s biggest event for real estate development and investment for emerging markets.
It also includes the biggest festival of gaming and pop culture in the region, the Middle East Film and Comic Con, which is likely to attract over 45,000 attendees.
It will also play host to the inaugural Games Con, which is dedicated to the region’s expanding online gaming community.
Informa has also been announced as an authorised ticket reseller, a move that will support the goal of Expo 2020 to attract as many as 25 million visitors to the event.
Some of the most popular and exciting events in the emirate will be brought to the Dubai Exhibition Centre by Informa, according to the executive director of Expo 2020 Dubai, Najeeb Mohammed Al-Ali.
He says that this will allow visitors to the expo to further enhance their experience.
The agreement is significant because it builds on Dubai Exhibition Centre’s growing reputation as of the world’s most innovative and connected entertainment and event venues, according to Al-Ali.
Expo 2020 Dubai is not just a spectacular and unique event in the history of the region, but also a chance for people to create, innovate and connect.
The full suite of visitor experiences at the expo will be able to be combined by delegates, exhibitors and visitors with events at Dubai Exhibition Centre, including summits, networking opportunities, meetings, seminars and product launches.
Informa has a long history in the Middle East going back a quarter of a century, with its hub being Dubai, according to Informa Markets’ president in Africa, Europe and the Middle East Peter Hall.
Dubai has become a worldwide business meeting point, and Informa has enjoyed massive success partly because of the drive in the emirate for experiences and infrastructure that are world class, which will be built on by Expo 2020, Hall says.
With thousands of guests set to be attracted to Dubai Exhibition Centre in 2020, Hall says that Informa is thrilled to have joined the team at Expo 2020 to deliver visitors and participants the best experience possible.
The agreement with Informa, the headquarters of which are located in the UK, comes after other big events were announced for the centre during Expo 2020.
These events include the Global Islamic Economy Summit and the World Government Summit.
Anyone planning to travel to Expo 2020 Dubai or the UAE for any other reason should get travel insurance coverage first.
Travel insurance ensures that unplanned events during travel, such as lost luggage and cancelled flights, do not cause undue financial hardship.
