The Jais Adventure Peak has been officially unveiled by the Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority.
The Jais Adventure Peak is a mixture of iconic attractions that sits on top of Jebel Jais, the highest mountain in the United Arab Emirates.
The latest adventure tourism offering from the emirate includes the Jebel Jais Flight, Jebel Jais Viewing Deck and Jais Sky Tour as well as new additions such as Jais Sky Maze and Jais Adventure Centre.
The Jais Sky Tour provides an exhilarating opportunity to see spectacular views and explore the canyons.
Set in the impressive Hajar mountain range, the Ruler of Ras Al Khaimah and Supreme Council Member of the UAE, Sheikh Saud Bin Saqr Al Qasimi, was in attendance at the grand opening.
Other guests at the grand opening included the likes of VIPs and top professionals in the hospitality industry.
Also included at the event was a series of extreme sport activations performed by adrenaline junkies from the emirate, including a BMX show from Abdul Rahman Al Abadli and Khalifa Alghafri performing wing suit diving.
Signature coffee blends could also be enjoyed thanks to the presence of the owner of Jeon Coffee and the nation’s youngest barista, Jasim Bin Darwish Al Shamsi.
There was also a skateboard show and a number of parkour stunts.
The launch of the peak is intended to strengthen the reputation of the emirate as the Middle East’s fastest-growing destination for tourists, which is happening partly due to its landscape diversity and its increasingly popular adventure and culture offerings.
Ras Al Khaimah Tourism Development Authority CEO Raki Phillips says that the much anticipated launch of the new peak will not only add to the diverse hospitality offerings in the emirate but will also elevate the popularity of Jebel Jais itself.
The Jais Adventure Peak will provide further support to Ras Al Khaimah tourism by appealing to tourists in all age groups who love adventure and exploration.
The adventurous spirit of the emirate is captured by the peak, with a series of adrenaline-fuelled experiences that will create unforgettable memories for guests, according to Phillips.
These experiences will include the views on the way to the peak and the very welcoming and informative staff, numerous fun activities, and the unique and sustainable adventure attractions.
The peak will also help to increase the interest of tourists in exploring everything else that is on offer in Ras Al Khaimah via a wide range of outdoor activities that are fun for all the family.
The newest addition to the suite of attractions at Jebel Jais Adventure Peak is the Jais Sky Maze, which offers thrills that are suspended 10 metres over the ground.
The Jais Sky Maze gives those seeking adventure the opportunity to head to the sky and navigate obstacles such as rope swings, swinging loops and wobbly bridges.
Anyone who is interested in flying to the emirate to see the peak, or to go anywhere else in the UAE, should take out travel insurance to ensure that they are financially protected from unexpected occurrences.
