Mafraq Hotel Abu Dhabi is to have its operations taken over by Millennium Hotels & Resorts MEA and will be rebranded as Millennium Central Mafraq from 1st January next year.

The hotel features as many as 242 apartments and rooms with modern Arabic décor and traditional Arabian hospitality and is the second property to have joined Millennium Central, Millennium Hotels & Resorts’ newest portfolio.

Millennium Central was created with the intention of focusing on the details that can make a guest’s stay extra special, such as convenience and efficiency.

The brand pillars are focused on convenience, urban living, location and quality, with particular emphasis being given to centrally located properties embodying the excellent and consistent standards expected from a global hotel brand while staying independent.

Millennium Central Mafraq is a unique oasis that demonstrates both the brand concept and the centrally located positioning.

The hotel is situated a five-minute drive away from Bawabat Al Sharq Mall, 10 minutes from the Abu Dhabi International Airport and 15 minutes from a number of key Abu Dhabi landmarks.

These landmarks include the likes of Abu Dhabi National Exhibition Centre, Yas Island, Saadiyat Island and Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque.

The hotel is also situated around 20 minutes from Abu Dhabi City and has a 20-year reputation for comfort, entertainment and relaxation that has attracted local and worldwide visitors alike.

Millennium Hotels and Resorts Middle East and Africa’s chief executive officer Kevork Deldelian says that the company is delighted to announce the second Millennium Central brand hotel, following Dubai’s Millennium Central Downtown.

The hotel is ideally situated to attract business travellers and tourists alike and is in line with the company’s plans for strategic expansion and the doubling of its portfolio in the next five years, according to Deldelian.

The National Investor chairman Abdulla Mohamed Almazrouei says that they are honoured to be collaborating with Millennium Hotels & Resorts on the management of Millennium Central Mafraq.

The company is intending to develop a number of luxurious, leading cosmopolitan projects that are culturally and environmentally friendly.

Almazrouei adds that the company is expecting a great partnership with Millennium Hotels & Resorts, and aims to develop innovative concepts to offer guests a truly exceptional experience.

Millennium Hotels & Resorts MEA has a diverse and broad portfolio all across the region.

It is currently operating as many as 45 different properties with almost 15,000 keys with hotels ranging from three to five stars all over the United Arab Emirates, Kuwait, Jordan, Iraq, Turkey, Georgia, Oman, Saudi Arabia, Palestine and Qatar.

Anyone who is intending to travel to the UAE or any of these places is advised to take out travel insurance before they set off on their journey.

Events such as cancelled flights, falling ill overseas, or having items of luggage lost or stolen can cause financial distress to travellers.

Travel insurance is an effective method of ensuring that travellers are protected from those potentially devastating financial losses.
